Jan. 24--The Tennessee Valley Authority is proposing to change how electricity is priced to help it and the industries it serves better compete with other parts of the country, a top TVA official said Thursday.
But the 8 million residents who live in the TVA's service territory will pay a price for the change.
"Residential rates have been quite a bargain in the (Tennessee) Valley and we're proud of that," TVA Chief Financial Officer David Smith said. "But maybe we've made it more of a bargain that we need or can justify in comparison with our ...
