Feb. 1 is Chinese New Year, the beginning of the Year of the Goat and in Chinese reckoning, the year 4700.
The Greater Cincinnati Chinese Music Society will celebrate at 8 p.m. Saturday at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's Corbett Auditorium with a program featuring acclaimed pianist Frederic Chiu, two world premieres and performances of Chinese music and dance utilizing traditional Chinese instruments.
