Jan. 24--ASBURY PARK, N.J.--This is what you call wishful thinking.
A group trying to save the crumbling Palace Amusement Arcade from the wrecking ball is trying to find a buyer for the fun house on eBay. Asking price: $2.5 million.
Of course, the building has its selling points. It dates from 1888. It has made cameo appearances on The Sopranos and in the Robert De Niro film City by the Sea. And then, of course, there's Bruce, as in Springsteen, whose first album was called Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., and was released 30 years ago this month.
