Jan. 24--TAMPA, Fla.--Tom Cruickshank admits it: his 36-inch flat-screen television, which he bought for the Super Bowl two years ago, is perfectly fine. But that hardly matters.
"There's nothing wrong with it," the Tarpon Springs man said. "But you always have to get something bigger and better."
Cruickshank shopped all week for a 48-inch plasma TV in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
Like Cruickshank, Tampa Bay area residents are flooding retailers to prepare for the big game, searching for food, party supplies and large electronics.
