IBM ROCHESTER RECEIVES BALDRIGE QUALITY AWARD
WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- President George Bush today presented the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award to IBM's Rochester, Minn., facility in ceremonies at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The Baldrige Award, named for the late Commerce Secretary, is the highest quality honor conferred on American business. Other winners in 1990 were the Cadillac Motor Car Division of General Motors Corp., Federal Express Corp. and Wallace Co. Inc.
