The Lakeside girls survived a maniacal, pressing defense by Holy Names and recorded a 65-59 victory in front of a packed house at Lakeside for their eighth victory in a row.
It was four quarters of defensive mayhem, as the teams combined for 46 turnovers, with six lead changes in the final five minutes of play.
After the game, the Holy Names and Lakeside fans stood and gave a standing ovation for the effort.
