The Dominican Sisters of Edmonds, Wash., a religious community that has ministered in the Seattle archdiocese for more than 100 years, has voted to merge with the Dominican Sisters of Adrian, Mich., a larger community with similar traditions and charisms. The vote took place at a December meeting in Edmonds, and the community is now petitioning the Vatican for confirmation of the vote.
With the Vatican's consent, the 56 Edmonds Dominicans, the Congregation of the Holy Cross, will formally become Adrian Dominicans, the Congregation of the Most Holy Rosary, ...
