FIRST FOREIGN SALE OF GA-CO TO BE SHIPPED THIS WEEK
ATLANTA, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The first foreign sale of the Georgia Wood Export Marketing Co-op (GA-CO) will be shipped from Bob Balfour's mill in Thomasville on Thursday, Dec. 20, to Curacao, a Dutch possession of the Netherlands Antilles.
The two-truckload shipments will consist of 45,000 board-feet of southern yellow pine, construction-grade lumber.
The GA-CO, which is an export trading company, is the result of a two-year plan to serve small- and medium-size wood product companies throughout the region that are interested in exporting, but do not have the necessary expertise or ...
