Photon Dynamics, Inc. (Nasdaq:PHTN) announced today that it has named Elwood ("Woody") Spedden as the company's new president and chief executive officer. Mr. Spedden has been a member of the Photon Dynamics board of directors since April 2002. Mr. Spedden also serves as a director of Advanced Energy Industries, Inc., a power conversion and control systems company. From July 1996 to June 1997, Mr. Spedden was a vice president of KLA-Tencor Corporation, a supplier of process control and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and related microelectronics industry.
