SYDNEY, Jan 8 Asia Pulse - Speculation is growing News Corp will team up with Liberty Media for a joint grab at US satellite giant DirecTV.
Liberty Media's chief executive Robert Bennett was "reasonably optimistic" of a joint bid for DirecTV owner Hughes Electronics, Bloomberg reported today.
It came a day after likely vendor General Motors Corp (GM) hinted News Corp may not be the only potential suitor eyeing Hughes and DirecTV.
Rupert Murdoch has previously said he is only interested in buying GM's 30 per cent stake in Hughes.
