JAKARTA, Jan 20 Asia Pulse - Bank Indonesia is studying an ideal benchmark interest rate to encourage investment in Indonesia, an official of the central bank said..
Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Aslim Tadjuddin said the decline in interest rate in the past year will provide a good momentum to set an ideal interest rate.
The central bank wants to see a real interest rate of 2 per cent-4 per cent to facilitate both banks and the real sector in carrying out their respective business, Tadjuddin said.
