PRINCESS ANNE - Strawbridge Elementary third-graders learned recently that the past did not die with Julius Caesar and his legions. Greco-Roman architectural concepts are still in use today - from pediments, columns and friezes, to the grandeur of public and religious buildings.
The Parthenon, Pantheon, Temple of Nike, Coliseum and Roman baths were only a few examples shown to the youngsters by Vanessa Barger, who attended Strawbridge in the '90s and returned to the school Jan. 16 to give a PowerPoint presentation to complement their Greek and Roman studies.
