Can't you just see it: Saddam Hussein and Idi Amin, their limos parallel parked at a stoplight in Jedda, exchanging butcher tales and Grey Poupon?
Uganda's Amin accepted the hospitality of the Saudis, who in 1980 gave refuge to the notorious collector of African atrocities. A similar exit strategy is being discussed for the Butcher of Baghdad. Iraqi officials, famous for their forthrightness, deny it.
Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations are working on a plan that would rid Iraq of Saddam and the war drums. It's not the first time the dictator has been asked to take his leave.
