Despite the difficult worldwide economic situation, the BMW Group was able to continue its growth course and set new records in terms of sales volume and revenues. As announced in the letter to shareholders, total revenues rose by 9.9% to euro 42,282 million in 2002 (2001: euro 38,463 million).
