MUNICH, Germany -- MUNICH, Germany, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The financial year 2002 has again been a very successful one for the BMW Group. Despite the difficult worldwide economic situation, the BMW Group was able to continue its growth course and set new records in terms of sales volume and revenues. As announced in the letter to shareholders, total revenues rose by 9.9% to euro 42,282 million in 2002 (2001: euro 38,463 million). Revenues of the Automobiles segment increased by 13.8% to euro 38,179 million (2001: euro 33,542 million) and those of the Motorcycles segment by 6.7% to euro 1,130 million (2001: euro 1,059 million).
