BARNETT RESIGNS AS LABOR AND INDUSTRY EXECUTIVE DEPUTY SECRETARY
HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert S. Barnett has submitted his resignation as executive deputy secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry, effective Jan. 15.
Barnett thanked Gov. Robert P. Casey for the chance to serve the commonwealth and noted that he had planned to serve in the post for about a year after his appointment in November 1989.
Casey praised Barnett's service and wished him well as he returns to his home city of Philadelphia to pursue other opportunities.
