Natural gas pipeline operator Northern Border Partners on Thursday reported an 18% rise in fourth-quarter earnings attributed to increased delivery volumes.

Omaha, Nebraska-based Northern Border posted fourth-quarter net income of $24 million (49cents/share), up from $20.3 million (45cents/share) in 2001.

Full-year net income reached $113.7 million ($2.44/share), up from 2001 net income of $87.8 million ($2.12/share).
