As one of the only Hispanic kids in her high school in Muenster, Ind., Linda De Jesus-Cutler was torn between two cultures.
She listened to Latin music at home, but enjoyed mainstream rock with her pals. She celebrated her sweet 16 birthday, a distinctly American tradition, while her family's friends feted her Hispanic coming of age at 15.
