PE MINORITY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
CONTRACTS INCREASE BY 50 PERCENT TO $30 MILLION
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia Electric Co. (NYSE: PE) said today that contract awards through its Minority Business Development Program increased by 50 percent to $30 million in 1990.
According to Earl K. Parker, program director, PE's program to develop and use minority vendors within its service territory has become the most successful such utility program in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, increasing 30-fold over the past decade.
