NEW ORLEANS -- NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- A study released today at the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists Annual Meeting on Women's Cancer suggests that pregnancy is safe and realistic for women who have undergone a radical trachelectomy (the removal of the cervix but not the uterus) as a result of invasive carcinoma of the cervix. The study followed patients who attempted to conceive after undergoing the procedure.
The study, "Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients Post Radical Trachelectomy," was led by Dr. Allen Covens, M.D., of the Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Science Centre at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Other researchers ...
