Small-business owners are finding it more financially difficult to provide health insurance benefits to their employees than the larger companies, according to Westchester's leading insurance brokerage firms.
Annual double-digit increases in the cost of premiums is the root cause of the problem, one that isn't going to end anytime soon, according to Thomas R. Kozera, president of SKCG Group Inc. (formerly Sternberg, Kozera & Gleicher Inc.), a Hartsdale insurance agency.
