The local KAHRAMA SPA, an independent water and power producer, recently awarded a construction contract for a desalination and associated power station to a Japanese joint venture. The partners in the planned undertaking include ITOCHU CORP. and ISHIKAWAJIMA-HARIMA HEAVY INDUSTRIES CO. LTD. (IHI).
