Feb. 3--Camarillo should see its first major new hotel in a decade by the end of the year with the opening of a Hampton Inn & Suites Construction began Friday on the $10 million facility off a new extension of Daily Drive, north of Highway 101 and west of Las Posas Road.
In addition to the Hampton, a proposal for a second major hotel near Camarillo Airport will have one of its first public hearings on Monday.
Hotel developer Jim Flagg said he hopes the three-story, 115-room Hampton Inn will be popular with people visiting the new California State University, ...
