Cicero developer and former Assemblyman Michael J. Bragman is set to launch a housing project that would be the first community developed for boaters along the state's canal system.
"On the Canal" near Brewerton would have a 10-foot-deep private waterway connecting 225 to 275 upscale homes to the Oneida River and the state's 524-mile Erie Canal system. Some houses would have price tags of up to $600,000.
"This will be the prototype for other projects of this type in the state," Bragman said.
