Chapter turns 50!
This past October, the Ontario Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society celebrated their 50th Anniversary. A highly successful dinner with guest speaker, Rt. Hon. Herb Gray, the Canadian Chair of the International Joint Commission (IJC) Canada - USA, provided an overview of the conservation efforts at the IJC and the development of reliable Environmental Indicators that measure progress (or lack thereof) in the effectiveness of making Great Lakes water more drinkable, swimmable, and fishable as in safe to eat.
