The noise level grew as Tri-County Mall walkers approached the hallway by Dough Boy's Gourmet Pizzeria on a recent Saturday.
A rectangle of tables overflowing with computer hardware, cans of Mountain Dew and tubes of Pringles filled the center of the hall. One thousand feet of cable - mostly red and black; some yellow - snaked on the floor between the computers.
Gamers, mostly male and mostly in their teens, sat at each monitor.
