Feb. 5--EXETER, Pa.--The low bidder on a new garbage collection contract was so low, that council decided Tuesday night to investigate the company before any decision is made.
United Sanitation of Dunmore was the low bidder on the one, two or three-year option contract and underbid J.P Mascaro & Sons and Apex Waste Services by as much as $165,209.
For one year, United Sanitation bid $157,799; $328,779 for two years and $510,791 for three years. Apex Waste Services is the borough's current collector and bid $211,140 for one year, $428,614 for two ...
