Feb. 6--Thai Mobile claims there is nothing unusual about signing up only 2,000 customers for its service after starting operations in November.
The 1900-Megahertz mobile-phone joint venture of TOT Corp and the Communications Authority of Thailand (CAT) said one reason was the firm's insufficient network in Greater Bangkok, compared with those of leading competitors.
Samart E-trading, a marketing arm of Thai Mobile, has signed up the same number of subscribers.
