Feb. 7--KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The Texas company negotiating to build an Osceola County convention center has made a U-turn on its choice of sites and once again is in the area of Osceola Parkway and State Road 535, near the Orange County line.
FaulknerUSA is eyeing a site owned by developer Rob Miller within a mile of land on U.S. Highway 192 where -- to the delight of mom-and-pop hoteliers along that highway -- officials said less than a month ago they would locate the $98.5 million convention center.
