Another pair of eyeglasses goes astray.

A phone number slips the mind.

The terms "whatchamacallit" and "thingamajig" start replacing more specific references.

Call it what you want.

But as America's baby boomers slide deeper into middle age, memory loss is moving toward the top of their growing list of things to fret over.

Consider that 83 percent of Americans worry about their inability to recall people's names, 60 percent worry about where they put things and 57 percent worry about memorizing telephone numbers, according to recent survey in Modern Maturity magazine.
