COUNTIES ASKED TO COLLECT INFORMATION ON LATE DECEMBER STORM

DAMAGE FOR POSSIBLE STATE REQUEST FOR DISASTER ASSISTANCE

OLYMPIA, Wash., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Washington Department of Community Development has asked all counties statewide to determine the extent of damages caused by late December storms so a determination can be made on whether to request federal disaster assistance.

The department's Emergency Management Division made its request in a teletype to the counties late this afternoon.
