Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year on at least one new electronic-waste recycling plant worth up to $8 million in Oakland County.
Martin Seaman, manager of Oakland County's waste-resource-management division, said the county is working with two companies that have signed letters of intent to build: San Jose, Calif.-based United Datatech Inc. and Toronto-based Electronic Product Recovery Services Inc.
Neither company returned five phone calls from Crain's.
Seaman said discussions with United Datatech have just begun but said Electronic Product Recovery Services comes to the Detroit area ...
