Feb. 9--There are some new tax changes for 2002 you want to be aware of when preparing your individual tax return.
--Educator's Expense Deduction: To be allowed to deduct up to $250 for classroom expenses such as class supplies, books, computer equipment, et cetera, the eligible educator must be a teacher, instructor, counselor, principal, or aide who works in a K-12 school at least 900 hours during a school year.
--Medical Expenses: Amounts paid by individuals to participate in weight loss program as treatment for a specific disease diagnosed by a physician, ...
