The NBA is on its All-Star break this weekend. Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal went to Atlanta to represent the three-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers at tonight's game. A teammate, Devean George, came home to Minneapolis to have his number retired by Augsburg College.
The Auggies billed it as "Devean George Weekend." There was a convocation for students Friday, followed by a luncheon. On Saturday, at halftime of the Augsburg-Hamline game, there was the official jersey retirement ceremony.
