Feb. 8--MAYFIELD, Ky.--Shoppers browsing knickknacks, antiques and collectibles will use the aisles of the former Wal-Mart here when Peddler's Mall opens a flea market this summer.
Peddler's Mall owner John George said Friday that the company signed a five-year sublease on the Paris Road building with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. about two weeks ago.
George did not have an opening date but said it will be after a similar store in Madisonville opens April 1, and would probably be summer. The flea market will be open daily.
