Feb. 11--Thai mobile phone users are the most enthusiastic in Southeast Asia in creating their own ring tones and sending them to their partners as a gesture of affection, a Siemens (Thailand) Co study shows.
It found that 45 percent of Thai mobile phone users made and sent affectionate tones and 34 percent of Thai male users felt more romantic, showing their affection more often.
Thailand was the second-largest user of MMS (Multimedia Message Service) in Asia after the Philippines, with three out of four users seeing the technology as preferable to voice communications.
