Ad revenues may still be in freefall for many broadcasters, but a number have outlined their intentions to exploit the phenomenal growth of mobile content in a bid to seek some much-needed financial relief.
The biggest endorsement of this strategy came earlier this month when digitalTV giant Sky launched a dedicated iTV mobile zone that will be selling a range of mobile content and services to its 6m house-holds. Your Mobile is the cornerstone of Sky's mobile strategy and is intended to bring together the various mobile services it already offers, including its text-and-reply service and SMS alerts.
