Some of Gray Cary's San Diego attorneys--Karl Zobell, Nancy Dix, Randy Kay and Cathy Bencivengo--recently won a closely watched U.S. Supreme Court case dealing with copyrights.
The attorneys represented owners of the copyrights of books in the Dr. Seuss series, as well as the literary works of E.B. White and Ludwig Bemelmans, in a key copyright law dispute argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in October.
The high court ruled 7-2 to extend existing and future copyrights, which protect the profits of songs, books and other intellectual property.
