Feb. 11--If India had log cabins, that's where the humble-boy-makes-his-mark story of George Paulose would have begun.
Sixty-two years later, the path of the president and CEO of Ames International Inc. has led to Fife.
Paulose's candy-and-nut company keeps growing. It's up to 50 employees, processing 2 million pounds of nuts annually. Next on the menu: tea, then coffee and cookies.
Then, a bigger plant, expansion to China and Japan, and booming sales.
