Over the past decade China became the "it" place for business. As the country cranked up its manufacturing base and developed a more market-oriented economy, many business people--scrap recyclers included--attempted to capitalize on this growth trend.

While opportunities were plentiful, concerns--some real, others urban legends--grew. Some concerns cited were shaky payment schedules, inexplicable material downgrades and boom/bust purchasing routines.
