FiberCloud, a Bellingham high-tech data center founded by Gary Nelson in 1999, has been purchased by an Everett data center company.
LightStream Data Centers Inc. purchased the assets of FiberCloud on Dec. 13. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. LightStream is a subsidiary of the Whidbey Telephone Company, which provides a variety of telecommunication products, including offering DSL service to Point Roberts.
George Henny, president of LightStream, said the company plans no significant changes to FiberCloud, and will keep the four employees who currently work there.
