About these essays
The City of Auburn Human Rights Commission recently held an essay contest in conjunction with February's Black History Month observance. The commission invited Auburn-area schools to participate. Students selected their favorite African-American of Achievement and wrote essays of up to 500 words. During the month of February, Cayuga Neighbors will feature 14 essays selected for publication by the commission.
