Feb. 14--An association of retired US Airways pilots yesterday joined efforts by the pilots union to block the bankrupt carrier from terminating their pension plan.
The Retirement Pilots Association of US Airways, which represents nearly 700 retired pilots and widows of retired pilots, said the airline had not met the legal requirements that allow a company in bankruptcy protection to terminate a pension plan, according to a brief filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Alexandria, Va.
