L.A.'s poster stores are bracing themselves. The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art will host an international exhibit of works by contemporary photographer Ansel Adams from Feb. 2 through May 11.
"Ansel Adams at 100," which was organized and began at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in August 2001, commemorates the 100th anniversary of Adams' birth and arrives in L.A. after stops in Chicago, London and Berlin, said Bo Smith, a LACMA spokesman.
The exhibit includes more than 100 photographs and prints, including the now famous "Monolith, the Face of Half Dome" and "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico."
