The Partido Isang Bansa, Isang Diwa has called on the government to conduct immediate talks with leaders of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in order to avert further bloodshed in the on-going clashes between the two forces in North Cotabato and other parts of Mindanao.
Eddie C. Gil, chairman of the party, a political arm of the "Isang Bansa, Isang Diwa" foundation, said that as mandated by the Constitution, the government must always renounce war - whether domestic or global - as an instrument of national policy.
