DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas _ There are mornings, rare mornings of foggy doubt, when writer-director John Lee Hancock questions his decision to take over Disney's $70 million reiteration of Texas' most revered story _ the Alamo.
"In all, it has been a really enjoyable process," he said of his involvement in the film, which began shooting in the hill country near Austin in late January. "I am loving the idea of doing it. But there are times, when I look in the mirror while I'm shaving, and I think I must be a masochist. I'm being bludgeoned before I expose the first frame of film."
