Feb. 15--The Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard in Los Olivos is planning to consolidate several scattered production and storage operations on a 10-acre site in Santa Maria.

The company is paying around $5 million for the land and a 100,000-square-foot former processing facility, and expects to close the deal around mid-March.

Owner Fess Parker said that in the near term, perhaps as early as next month, the winery will begin barrel storage there, aging some of the wine and in the future bottling wine on the site.
