Advent Software Inc. is muscling in on the broker-dealer market with a vengeance. But relative upstart StatementOne Inc., which now controls that niche, is unfazed.
Executives from San Francisco-based Advent plan to win customers by using their company's experience and deep pockets. They also want to use the company's relatively new market presence and technology, a direct result of its purchase of Techfi Corp. last July.
