Feb. 17--When Albert Schulmeyer wrecked his pickup two years ago, his insurer paid for about $3,000 in repairs.

But Schulmeyer wants more.

The Irmo man says State Farm Fire and Casualty Co. owes him about $1,000 because his 1996 Chevrolet S10 was worth less after the crash.

His case will come before the S.C. Supreme Court on Wednesday.

"I don't expect anything, but maybe it will change the laws," said Schulmeyer, 61.

But insurers say auto insurance premiums likely will increase statewide if the state's top court sides with Schulmeyer. ...
