A plea hearing is scheduled for this afternoon in the case of Christian Michael Longo, who faces a possible death sentence on charges he killed his wife and three children in late 2001 in Lincoln County.
But one of Longo's defense lawyers, Steven Krasik, said any outcome of Friday's hearing is not likely to change Longo's scheduled March 10 trial for aggravated murder.
In a brief news release after business hours Thursday, Lincoln County District Attorney Bernice Barnett said she would answer questions after the 3:30 p.m. hearing.
