PENNSYLVANIANS ON ACTIVE DUTY GET SPECIAL CONSUMER PROTECTIONS
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvanians called to active military duty and their families are entitled to special consumer protection under both federal law and a newly amended state law, Attorney General Ernie Preate Jr. said today.
"These laws make it easier for military personnel and their families to deal with the financial and legal problems they may encounter because their military pay doesn't match their civilian salaries," Preate said.
"This includes help in the areas of interest rates, eviction proceedings, employment rights and legal judgments."
